Peanut Butter Brownie Bites in a jar

It's that time of year...time to start thinking about gifts for the holidays! I've been working on some recipes that you'll love: delicious, unique, and affordable gifts to give to friends and neighbors. I perfected this recipe this week, making several batches until I was happy with the flavor and texture of it.  My family didn't complain about the experiments.  These rich, soft, bites will melt in your mouth!

Peanut Butter Brownie Bites
in a jar

By Sabrina Winder

½ c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
1/3 c. cocoa powder
½ c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
¾ c. chocolate chips

Layer ingredients in the order listed, into a 1 quart wide mouth mason jar.  Place an oxygen absorber in the top of the jar, and close tightly with a new lid and ring.

Dump contents of jar into a bowl with 1 egg, 2 Tbsp oil, and 1 cup water.  Mix until everything is incorporated.  Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.
