I love Meals in Jars! Can you tell? The funny thing is, I don't actually cook this way EVERY day - even though these are the recipes I post the most. I still do pull out single ingredients to cook dinner...but half of the time they come from Thrive Life cans so I can get out of chopping veggies or cooking meat.
But the thing I love about the Meals in Jars, is that they are SO HANDY for so many different situations!! For example...
Going camping? Grab some meals in jars, dump the ingredients into ziploc bags (jars are breakable), and when you're ready for dinner, you can put the water needed right into the bag and then dump it all into your camp stove for a 15 minute meal! No cooler worries, no cooking/prep mess, very little time to cook...I will never camp without Thrive Life again!!
Going on a road trip? Eating out on a road trip can be fun...for a day or two. And then I just start feeling sick from it all, and the thing I crave most is a home cooked meal. Add to that the expense of feeding 5 kids on a road trip...and having meals in jars start to make a LOT of sense! I bring along my electric plug-in skillet, plug it into the hotel room, dump the Thrive meal (that has been sitting in a car, no cooler needed, for days) into the pot with some water...and before we can even finish sorting out who gets to sleep on what bed, dinner is ready!
Leaving kids at home for dinner? I can think of no better solution when we go out on date night, or when I'm just not home in time to start dinner. It's 1,000 times better than Ramen noodles, and easy for my kids to cook it on their own.
Sick? Recovering from surgery? What better way to have an easy meal than this? It tastes waaay better than canned soup (my kids won't even touch that anymore!), and only requires one pan to heat up dinner.
Going to a baby shower? What do moms of new babies need help with, long after Grandma has gone back home? That's right - dinner. Especially because dinner time seems to be right when baby needs to eat or cry for an hour while toddler is carefully taking apart the house...
Need an instant easy meal that suits YOUR dietary needs? I can think of no better solution than getting Thrive Life ingredients and assembling your own meals. That way, you can make SURE it's Gluten Free (easy with Thrive ingredients) or free of onions or whatever you're allergic to.
I think you get the idea. These meals are a lifesaver for everyone in different situations! Which is why I love to make a bunch of them just to have on hand for whatever situation may come along, or gifts that need giving. They are just awesome!
So without further ado, here's my latest recipe. It actually came from the Thrive Life website but not as a meal in a jar recipe. It wasn't hard to turn into a recipe in a jar - just had to adjust the ingredients so they would all fit into a jar, and wah lah! Another delicious jar meal! Enjoy!!

If you have enjoyed seeing these recipes and wondered how to do this for yourself...it's not hard. Go to my website - www.SabrinasPantry.ThriveLife.com and order the ingredients. They come shipped to your door! Order some oxygen packets from Amazon (you can get packs of 100 for around $10). Then get yourself some quart sized mason jars, and load them up with ingredients and an oxygen packet. Put the lid on, and wah lah!! I also like to make labels with cooking instructions to put on the lids, so that if my kids are cooking, they don't have to go searching for my original recipe to put the dinner on. Email me at SabrinasPantry@gmail.com and I would be happy to send you a template for my labels!
