Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup in a Jar

There is nothing more comforting than a warm bowl of chicken noodle soup. The problem is, it can take a while to make if you're doing it from scratch. And the commercially canned version of it...just doesn't do it justice, in my opinion. The texture is all slimy and the flavor is weird. And so...here's the perfect answer to the dilemma: homemade flavor (you can even customize and tweak the measurements if you like) and speedy cooking. It's a match made in heaven!!

CREAMY CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP IN A JAR

-serves 4-

Measure these ingredients in the order listed into a wide mouth quart sized mason jar-

2 c. Egg noodles
1/4 c. Veloute chicken gravy mix
1 T. chicken bouillon
1/4 tsp. Black pepper
1/2 tsp. Oregano
1/4 c. Dehydrated carrots
1/4 c. Freeze dried celery
1/4 c. Freeze dried onion slices
3/4 c. Freeze dried chopped chicken
1/4 c. Freeze dried peas

If not using right away, it’s best to include an oxygen absorption packet in the top, or use a jar sealer machine to seal the jar closed.

Cooking instructions:

Remove the lid and oxygen packet. Dump contents of jar into a pot with 6 cups water. Bring to a boil, then boil for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add salt to taste and additional water if needed. Enjoy!
