Tortellini soup in a jar

Happy new year!  As you are setting new years resolutions for healthier eating, try out this delicious soup recipe.  The best part I love about these jar meal recipes is that they are healthy AND fast!  No need to sacrifice health just because you're eating "fast" food.

Tortellini soup in a jar
By Sabrina Winder – serves 4

1 c. dry, shelf stable tortellini filled with cheese (can be found in the pasta section at the grocery store)
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. Thrive basil

Measure all ingredients in the order listed into a wide mouth quart sized mason jar.  Place a new oxygen absorption packet in the top of the jar, then put on a new lid and ring and close tightly.  Store away from light to ensure a longer shelf life.

Cooking directions:
Remove oxygen absorber packet.  Dump contents of jar into 6 cups of water and bring to a boil.  Simmer for about 15 minutes until tortellini are soft. Add more water if desired.  Serve with garlic bread.
