Sausage Zuppa Tuscana for BACKPACKING!

I have taken my favorite Zuppa Tuscana recipe in a jar and turned it into a backpacking meal.  Rather than cooking it over a stovetop, you're going to simply boil water and dump it into the bag of ingredients and let it sit for about 10 minutes until everything is softened and ready to eat!  I made the portion size in this recipe a little bigger than I normally portion, since when you're backpacking you're likely to be starving for a good meal, and less likely to have any side dishes to go with it.  Here you go:

Sausage Zuppa Tuscana for Backpacking

One serving

1/3 c. Freeze-dried Potato Dices
1 1/2 Tbsp. Béchamel sauce mix (white sauce mix)
1/3 cup Sour Cream Powder
1/3 cup Mashed Potato Flakes
1 tsp Chicken Bouillon
1/4 tsp. Chef’s Choice seasoning blend
pinch Crushed Red Pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/3 cup Freeze-dried Chopped Spinach
2 Tbsp Freeze-dried Chopped Onions
1/3 cup Freeze-dried Sausage Crumbles

Measure all ingredients into a freezer strength gallon sized ziploc bag.  When you're ready to use, boil 2 cups of water and dump most (about 1 1/2 cups) of the water into bag of ingredients.  Let sit for about 10 minutes until soft.  Add remaining water if needed to make into a soup consistency.  Enjoy!!
