Beef Stew for BACKPACKING

 

BACKPACKING BEEF STEW

One serving


1/3 c. Freeze Dried ground beef
½ c. Freeze Dried diced potatoes
¼ c. Freeze Dried green peas
2 Tbsp. Freeze Dried chopped onions
2 Tbsp. Freeze Dried diced tomatoes
2 Tbsp. Freeze Dried mushrooms
1 Tbsp. beef gravy mix
1 tsp. beef bouillon
1 Tbsp. mashed potatoes
½ tsp. powdered garlic
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Measure all ingredients into a freezer quality quart or gallon ziploc bag. Throw into your backpack! When ready to eat, boil 1 1/4 c. water and pour into the bag of ingredients. Stir it together and wait about 8 minutes, until everything is nice and soft. Enjoy!!
